The Department was established in 1985 with an objective of providing quality vocational education to the youth. Over a period of time, the Department has been making efforts to upgrade the different syllabi, to keep pace with changing times. these efforts of Department have brought very encouraging results as many students have been able to start ventures and have got a placement in various government and private organization. It will always be an endeavor of the department to providing latest traning and conducive environment to the students so as to develop their talents in the best possible ways. To showcase their talents an exhibition of their artifacts in conducted every year.
Our Objectives
- Poverty alleviation through well designed and co-ordinated vocational training to weaker section of the society.
- Women empowerment by the way of making the women self employable and independent.
- To make the people of rural and remote areas aware of various schemes of the state and the central Govt. for their benefit and upliftment through extension activities.
- To spread the message against the various social evils like Drug Addiction, Dowry, AIDS, Female Foeticides,etc.through various means such as Seminars /Workshop/ Rallies etc.
