The Department was established in 1985 with an objective of providing quality vocational education to the youth. The main focus of providing vocational education has been to make the youth, especially the women coming from weaker section of society, self reliant. Over a period of time, the Department has been making efforts to upgrade the different syllabi, to keep pace with changing times. these efforts of Department have brought very encouraging results as many students have been able to start ventures and have got a placement in various government and private organization. It will always be an endeavor of the department to providing latest traning and conducive environment to the students so as to develop their talents in the best possible ways. To showcase their talents an exhibition of their artifacts in conducted every year.
